Keith Urban!

Last night Whitney and I made our way to the T.D. Waterhouse for the Keith Urban concert. Amazing! This guy Pat Green opened for him, he was alright I guess...but when you're there for Keith Urban, no one else really matters. (By the way, don't anyone comment that they don't know who Keith Urban is....as a few people did to me the other day, I want to go on unaware if that's the case, I like all of you being my friends. :) ) The concert was great. Whitney and I sat between two groups of guys. When we first got there we noticed the two couples sitting in front of us who looked like they came in on the loveboat directly there and we were like, "oh great!" But then our row mates showed up. The two guys beside me came together, but I don't think they said two words to eachother the whole time. The one next to me did send some shouts out, and clapped, but neither of them sang any of the songs. Kinda strange. I wanted to reach over and check their pulse. But...the boys next to Whitney were rather interesting. The one right next to her (one of four) spent quite a bit of time talking to her...stranger comments as the beer flowed. They all got up and walked to get two more beers after finishing the one they brought up originally. Yeah...not sure who the "designated Dave" was in that group. There were some younger girls behind us who had some lungs, I'll just put it that way. I got beer spilled on my shirt and hair a little, the woman behind me couldn't hold on to the cup I guess. But whatever...all that was overshadowed by the fact that we were there to see Keith Urban.

I didn't intend to give that many details, this is what I intended to write about:
Keith said, "tonight's your night...sing any song you want as loud as you want to!" And there were moments where almost every person in the arena was singing to a song. For a moment I thought to myself, "this is what Heaven will be like" (No, not arenas full of people singing country songs). Because I was thinking, ok, we all paid good money to come and hear the artist sing, and what do we do, we all sing with him making it harder to actually hear him. And I thought about how we always do that, if there's a song we know no matter where we are, we start to sing it or at least mouth the words. So I thought, in Heaven, we'll all know the words of praise to God and we just won't be able to help but sing! Kinda random, and one of those things where you have to follow the Gina thought process, but it worked for me.

So, I think that's about it for now. I did attend a luncheon this afternoon for the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association (CFHLA) which I am now a student member of. It was at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes...nice. But, it is nowhere near as exciting as Keith Urban, so I won't even bore you with the details of that. Homework tonight, work tomorrow, church Sunday....that's my weekend. Have a good one!

Hahahahaha, I'm with ya there!

Okay, here's a different comment. I think it's odd each time that someone talks about there being beer (or any sort of edible/drinkable) at a concert, because I'm so used to going to Carpenter's Home Cavern for concerts. Or a church. Or something. It's weird to picture a concert anywhere else.

oh, and I am also so sad that all of these people don't seem to know who he is! What's up with that?

I know...and it's even sadder (yes, I know, not a word) that now when describing who he is people say things like, "you know, the one who's dating Nicole Kidman." I mean, yeah Nicole is pretty well known and all...but come on, Keith can stand on his own. He's from Australia (Accent=HOT), he has a beautiful voice (Every girl's dream=HOT), and he "puts his blue jeans on" (=HOT!)
